๐ Passage 1 โ "The Community Garden"
Every Saturday morning, Maya and her grandfather visited the community garden near their apartment. The garden was full of colourful flowers, vegetables, and busy insects. Maya's favourite part was watering the tomato plants because she liked watching them grow taller each week.
One morning, Maya noticed that some plants looked dry and unhealthy. She asked her grandfather why the leaves were turning yellow. He explained that the garden had not received enough rain recently.
Maya wanted to help. She gathered watering cans and carefully watered the plants. Soon, other children joined her. Together, they filled buckets, pulled weeds, and cleaned the walking paths.
A few weeks later, the garden looked healthy and bright again. The neighbours thanked the children for helping take care of the garden. Maya felt proud knowing that teamwork could make a big difference.

๐ Passage 2 โ "Beavers: Canada's Builders"
Beavers are one of Canada's most important animals. They build dams across streams and rivers using sticks, mud, and logs. These dams create ponds where beavers live in dome-shaped homes called lodges.
Beaver ponds also help many other animals. Ducks, frogs, fish, and turtles all use beaver ponds as their home. Beavers have large flat tails that they slap on the water to warn each other of danger.
Their teeth are very strong and orange-coloured. Beavers use their teeth to chew through trees to get food and building materials. They are so important to Canada that they appear on the Canadian nickel.
